An Uncanny Theory About The Justice League Movie

An Uncanny Theory About The Justice League Movie 1

What if I told you I had a theory as to who Alfred was talking to at the end of the Justice League Comic Con Trailer? Well Oluwaseun Oshin and I have had this discussion over and over again, watching the trailer scene by scene, trying to decipher the puzzle Warner Bros left us to solve after the San Diego Comic Con. This, coupled with everything we already knew about the DCEU birthed some unexpected speculations. Careful there, or you might just find yourself in agreement with an uncanny theory about the Justice League Movie.

An Uncanny Theory About The Justice League Movie 2

The DCEU practically began its run with the release of Man of Steel in 2013. This was followed by the most anticipated gladiator match in the history of the world; Batman V Superman (BVS) which was dealt a hard blow critically. Then we got the bunch of superhuman misfits to save the day in Suicide Squad which was released a few months after BVS but was still dealt it’s fair share of critical tongue-lashing. Finally, 2017 decided to bring us all things good which included Warner Bros finally getting things right with the latest addition to their Cinematic Universe; Wonder Woman.

Although, we all reckon these to be separate movies which take place within the same universe, one thing has been constant through them all excluding Suicide Squad, that’s right! You guessed it! Zack Snyder. Zack practically served as Director and/or Producer for each of these movies and caused one of the biggest fan/critic wars in movie history with the release of BVS. Nonetheless, I still think he’s such a great guy – because only great people can start wars, hehe. But if you’re wondering where an uncanny theory about the Justice League movie could stem from, we know who to point at.

One thing Zack has been applauded for time and over is his ability to stay true to the source material, teasing hardcore fans with well-placed Easter eggs that would keep them speculating for months over. Well, Zack has his finger prints all over our speculation and it’s literally mind-blowing and honestly an uncanny theory about the Justice League movie couldn’t be more interesting.

An Uncanny Theory About The Justice League Movie 5

So straight to it then, the Justice league Comic Con trailer which ran for an incredible 4minutes showed us a lot of footage, which ends with Alfred talking to someone we don’t see, and telling whoever it was the statement below;

“He said you’d come, Let’s just hope you’re not too late”

After this, the internet literally exploded with speculations surrounding either the fact that it was a Green Lantern or a revived Superman. However, after much deliberation, we believe Alfred was talking to DCEU’s Supergirl. Yes! We might be getting to see Supergirl in the DCEU.

An Uncanny Theory About The Justice League Movie 7

First off, Justice League’s big bad (Steppenwolf) decided to remind us about the absence of Green Lanterns and Kryptonians in the world. This tells us an invasion of this scale would require either or both for the earth to a survive catastrophe of this scale. The Lanterns have not been introduced in the DCEU at all and bringing them into the mix so early in the game would be over kill. Warner Bros already knows this and isprobably smart enough not to allow it…probably.

Our first consideration would have been Superman himself, but looking at this critically; he only just died. Bringing him back would be such a great idea, but it has to be by someone with considerable idea on how to revive a Kryptonian. We highly doubt Steppenwolf would want to revive an instrument of his own doom. And don’t even think about the mind control bit, we’ve seen that card played too many times in one lifetime.

But finally, when considering Supergirl, we’ll take you back to a time in Man of Steel, where Superman discovered a Kryptonian drop ship being explored by the US government. We got no realistic explanation as to how the ship actually got there to begin with. But this was evidently some other sign of Kryptonian life apart from the Man of Steel himself. Fast forward to when he actually enters the ship, and the ship instantly recognizes him as a member of the house of El further hinting that the ship belonged to a Kryptonian from the house of El – and we know it’s not Jor El!

An Uncanny Theory About The Justice League Movie 9

Bringing us back to the Justice League trailer, we see a scene where Bruce Wayne is looking at a somewhat holographic image of a red and blue suit. At this point, we could have easily concluded that this suit belonged to a revived Superman, coupled with the fact that the mystery person Alfred was speaking to at the end of the trailer showed a mildly noticeable red blur at the bottom right of the screen.

But when we take a closer look at the partially revealed holographic suit which Bruce Wayne was looking at, we noticed that the leg of the suit has a feminine shape rather than the usual masculine suit we are used to. Wait! What? were those hips we just saw? This was it! This was our answer! okay okay breathe, remember this is just an uncanny theory about the Justice League movie

An Uncanny Theory About The Justice League Movie 11

We speculate that Kara Zor-El has actually been in the DCEU all this while, either trapped in the phantom zone, stripped of her powers, captured in a secret government facility, in hibernation on the Kryptonian dropship, or somewhere in Hawaii getting a sun tan. Either way, she could likely be the one who tilts the scale of the war in favor of Earth after meeting with the League. Plus she’s probably the only person with enough knowledge to revive a Kryptonian. Nonetheless, however unlikely our theory is, it’s all still speculation and we’ll all know the truth in theatres on th 17th of November, 2017.

Tell us how you feel about an uncanny theory about the Justice League movie in the comment section below.

    1. I am pretty sure if Lex knew how to revive a kryptonian, he wouldn’t have brought Zod back as the Kryptonian abomination called Doomsday.

  1. I’ll disagree with you about the ship in MOS … the scientist and jor-el said this ship crashed on earth thousands years ago…maybe those kryptonians are still on earth, but they it is definately not supergirl’s ship…. the ship recognized kal-el because he placed his kryptonian chip/flash drive into it…. this is not to debunk your theory .. it might be supergirl but i am going to go with Aquaman…. because in last year comic con trailer Aquaman was relunctant to join.. but bruce was hoping he’llcome wheen the danger becomes worlwide

    1. I totally get your point but i think another point i failed to mention was that, Man of Steel had a featured prequel comic developed by Zack Snyder. In it, it was confirmed that the drop ship actually belonged to Kara Zor-El who had crashed on earth thousands of years ago. The comic delves into her DCEU origins and validates her existence in the DCEU. In a scene in MOS, when Clark enters the drop ship, an open pod is shown in the background, this belonged to her. Justice League similarly hints us that a great war had taken place thousands of years ago in order to protect the Mother boxes from Akpokolips. It would make a whole lot of sense if Kara was a part of this war and was taken hostage to Akpokolips. What do you think?
